Description

A Newtonian reflector Levenhuk Skyline BASE 80S Telescope allows for observing all the beauty of the Universe. This telescope is perfect for studying deep-sky objects, including nebulae, galaxies, star clusters. You can observe almost all Messier objects; this telescope is also suitable for first observations of the Solar system planets and the Moon. This telescope is designed for beginner observers. Due to its rich kit, it will become an excellent gift to anyone who enjoys astronomy observations.

Pointing to astronomy objects is performed manually. To achieve that, an optical finderscope with a 6x magnification and a classic alt-azimuth mount are used. You can move the optical tube along the vertical and horizontal axes, like an ordinary spotting tube. Pointing to the objects is sharp and smooth, without jerks. An aluminum tripod is stable and sturdy. The tripod legs feature adjustable height, there is an accessory tray.

The kit includes all main optical accessories that allow for evaluating the telescope capabilities instantly. An eyepiece with short focal length provides a higher magnification, while an eyepiece with a long focal length is more useful for studying extended space objects. A Barlow lens doubles the optics power.

Features:

  • Newtonian reflector mounted on a simple-to-operate alt-azimuth mount
  • Ideal for exploring deep space
  • Good choice for beginner astronomy enthusiasts who have no observation experience
  • Rich set of optical accessories in the kit

The kit includes:

  • Telescope optical tube

Questions and Answers
Daniel (2020.05.06)
What kind of main mirror is used in these reflectors: spherical or parabolic? If spherical, how is spherical aberration problem solved? How to collimate this telescope if there is no collimating screws at the back of a tube? Moreover, how is collimating or mirror cleaning possible if the instruction tells not to remove mirror from it's housing? Thank you.
Customer service:
Dear Daniel, thank you for your inquiry. The telescope comes with the spherical mirror. The telescope is collimated in the factory. In the unlikely case if the telescope becomes out of collimation, we'd recommend to use a Cheshire eyepiece. Is there any additional information you might need?
