Levenhuk 870T is a reliable biological trinocular microscope that may be used for the bright field observations. It is commonly used in various medical laboratories for clinical research in dermatology, biochemistry, cytology and other scientific studies. Due to the trinocular design of the head, this model may be turned into a digital microscope with an addition of an eyepiece digital camera.
The head of the microscope is inclined at 30 degrees and may be rotated 360 degrees around its axis. Four objective lenses on the revolving nosepiece, Köhler illumination method, adjustment of the aperture and field diaphragms make this microscope a perfect tool for serious observations.
The stage (140x155 mm, 5.5x6.1 in) moves along two axes. Focusing the view is achieved by rotating the coarse and fine focus wheels that raise or lower the stage itself, thus bringing the sample closer to or farther away from the objective lens. Both focus systems have smooth movements in 25 mm (1 in) increments for coarse and 0.002 mm (0.00008 in) for fine.
There is a variable brightness 6V 20W halogen lamp installed in the base of the microscope that acts as an illumination source.
Features:
- Magnification: 40–2000x
- Oil immersion
- Condenser: Abbe with iris diaphragm
- Two-axes stage
- Fine and coarse focusing
- Halogen illumination with brightness adjustment
- Household power supply
The kit includes:

I want to buy a darkfield condenser for this microscope. I'm upset that this 870T doesn't come with a real darkfield condenser. Can you tell me the size of the condenser mount so I can add myself ? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Nick, thank you for your inquiry. The size of the condenser should be the same as the size of the condenser on your microscope. We've requested the data from our product manager as well. The result will be provided shortly.
(2017-10-02 11:40):

how do I attach my c-mount camera to this ? (such as nikon 1 or m43 that has c-mount adapter attached) Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Nick, thank you for your interest in Levenhuk products. You just need to insert the camera to the tube. The diameter is 23.2 mm. So, if you have another size, you will need to use the adapter that can be purchased in your local camera store. We also have a big choice of microscope cameras. Is there any additional information you might need?
(2017-06-11 02:42):

Do I need to tint the bacteria while using a darkfield method? What is more efficient, tinting the bacteria or the darkfield method? If tinting is more efficient, which coloring should I use? Levenhuk Customer Service:
When studying the bacteria, you need to tint them in any case. Food colorings will be perfect.
(2017-06-01 08:46):

Sorry for the frequent questions. What do I do if the oil spot on the immersion lens has dried? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Try to gently wipe the lens with the soft, dust-free cloth before trying to clean it with alcohol or other aggressive cleaning liquid. You can also use a piece of Styrofoam. First, remove the contaminated lens from the revolver. Rub the frontal lens with by tapping on it lightly with a piece of Styrofoam and turning it around. Dry foam material cleans the frontal lens from dirt (such as immersion oil) really well. You can easily check it by removing the eyepiece from the holder, turning it over and using it as a magnifying glass, keeping it at an acute angle over the front lens. You can simply see through this 10x magnifying glass if the front lens is clean or not. If not, repeat the procedure one more time. Then wipe the lens one more time, check it under the "magnifying glass" and put it back in place.
(2017-05-30 11:00):

Can I attach the darkfield to the lenses with 40x and 100x magnification on this microscope? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Yes, you can do it with the trinocular Levenhuk 870T microscope
(2017-05-28 06:47):

Hello. Could you tell me please how I can attach the light filters to this model? There isn't any advice in the instruction Levenhuk Customer Service:
Light filters are installed under the stage; there is a special niche for installing and fixing the light filters.
(2017-05-14 04:33):

How can I observe objects in the darkfield without the condenser? Levenhuk Customer Service:
You will need an Abbe condenser or a darkfield condenser in order to observe the samples in the darkfield.
(2017-05-14 04:27):

Hello. I have just bought the microscope, it's awesome, but I can't figure out if the camera is included in the set? If yes, how do I use it? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The Levenhuk 870T trinocular microscope is not equipped with a camera. A camera comes with a Levenhuk D870T microscope. You can also buy the camera separately here: https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/microscope-cameras/
(2017-03-05 10:52):

Thank you, no need to explain anymore, I figured it out myself. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Thank you for your feedback.
(2013-06-19 03:42):

Please explain how to use immersion objective correctly. I mean for me it seems that I do everything exactly as it's said in manual: I drip immersion oil on the cover glass and lower objective lens so it touches the oil… but I can't see anything, only white spot. Maybe I need to apply some oil on the condenser as well? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The oil immersion objective (usually 100x or more) is designed for use with a drop of special oil, placed between it and the specimen. First you should focus on the area of specimen that you are going to observe using oil immersion objective. Then carefully place a drop of immersion oil on the cover slip over that area, and lower the oil immersion lens into place.
(2013-05-27 11:05):

Hello. Where can I buy oil of these two types - A and B? And which of them magnifies more or what's the difference between them? Thank you. Can a vegetable oil be used? I want to purchase Levenhuk_c800 camera and Levenhuk 870T Biological Trinocular Microscope. I need your guidance. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Unfortunately we don’t have immersion oil in our product range. Type A is a classic immersion oil Used as immersion liquid while working with apochromatic and achromatic objective lenses of microscopes of all types, except fluorescence microscopes, in visible spectrum. Type B is a professional immersion oil Used as immersion liquid while working with apochromatic and achromatic objective lenses of microscopes of all types, except fluorescence microscopes, in visible spectrum. Intended for microscopes with artificial illumination and image viewing system first of all. Compared to the classic immersion oil, immersion oil of B type has lower velocity and higher light transmittance. No, vegetable oil cannot be used. Do you want to process with the order?
