The Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level projects three bright green planes of 360 degrees and a full plumb line, which is formed in the crosshairs of two verticals on the ceiling and floor.

The device is equipped with a built-in dimmer that allows you to change the brightness of the lines depending on the lighting conditions.

Another advantage of Ermenrich LV60 PRO is a five-year warranty from the manufacturer.

Body

The body of the Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level is made of high-quality industrial plastic almost entirely covered with firm rubber that is pleasant to the touch.

All elements of the body are perfectly aligned. There are no complaints about the build quality. Everything is done at the highest level.

On the back of the case, under the rubber pad, there is a USB Type-C connector for fast battery charging as well as an AC power supply if the battery is dead.

The device uses a built-in packet-type battery with a capacity of 4000mAh, which is enough for a fairly long operating time. Over time, if the battery completely degrades, it can be replaced.

The protective towers are made of plastic and are attached to the body through two rubber gaskets on the top and bottom of the glass, which significantly increases the protection against the accumulation of dust inside as well as moisture ingress.

At the base is a neat hub with a 1/4" thread for mounting the device on a photo/video tripod, wall mount, or rotating base (the last two are included in the kit).

The LV60 PRO really surprises with its compactness. To better understand the dimensions, I suggest looking at the comparative photo with a Kaiweets KT360A laser level. This is also a 3D level of a common size.

Compensator

The Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level has a fast-acting pendulum-type compensator with magnetic dampers.

A compensator with this operating principle is used in most laser levels. The only difference between them is the speed of installation of the compensator pendulum into the working position. Here, the installation speed is only 2 seconds, which is quite fast.

The entire compensation system is installed on metal supports, which is definitely a plus.

Each compensator has its own operating range; for this model, it is 4°±1°. If the device is tilted further than this corridor, a visual alert in the form of flashing laser lines will automatically set off. To stop the blinking, you need to place the laser level on a flatter surface.

Controls

On the side of the body is a two-position toggle switch that is responsible for blocking the compensator pendulum. When the switch is set to the “open lock” position, all planes light up, and the compensator begins to automatically assume the working position to mark the horizontal or vertical level.

If you move the slider to the “closed lock” position, the compensator is locked for transportation purposes.

This position also activates the TILT function, for marking lines at any arbitrary angle. To enable this mode, while locked, press and hold the red button on the top panel for 3 seconds.

In total, the control panel has four buttons and five indicators.

The V1 and V2 buttons are responsible for turning the vertical planes on and off, and the H button turns the horizontal plane on and off. This enables you to configure any required number of planes.

When unlocked, the red power button is responsible for adjusting the brightness of the laser lines (4 options); a short press on the button will change the brightness. In addition, in auto-alignment mode, holding down this red button for 2–3 seconds will activate the receiver mode (the lines will start to glow dimmer; in other words, they will go into pulsating mode).

When turned on, a single indicator lights up green, and when the receiver operating mode is turned on, it begins to blink. 

Remote control

The remote control has 4 buttons, with a notably good response. The buttons almost completely duplicate the control panel on the Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level.

The only thing missing here is the power button, and so you can’t turn on the TILT function remotely.

The buttons V1, V2, and H are responsible for turning on and off the corresponding planes, and the fourth button switches the brightness modes of the laser lines.

In general, the remote control leaves a positive impression, and the build quality is 5 out of 5.

The Ermenrich LV60 PRO excelled in this test.

At the short distance of 1 meter, the line thickness was slightly less than 2mm. A little more than 1mm at 5 meters from the wall. And only 2.5mm at 10 meters.

The Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level brightness test showed the following results:

5 meters bright side – 27.5 lux
5 meters dim side – 6.1 lux
10 meters bright side – 11.2 lux
10 meters dim side–2.3 lux

Side note. With cone prisms, the inhomogeneity of the glow around the circle may vary, which is considered normal. Therefore, measurements with a lux meter are made at two points on the plane: The brightest area on the plane, and the dimmest area on the same plane. Measurements are taken at two distances of 5 and 10 meters.

Declared accuracy (respectively)

An accuracy test at 10 meters showed that the Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level fully matches the stated characteristics. Moreover, the actual accuracy turned out to be higher, around ± 0.2mm/m, while the stated accuracy was ± 0.3mm/m.

Adjustment

Over time, each level may need an adjustment, as the accuracy may deteriorate due to various factors: improper transportation, mechanical shock, high temperatures, etc.

The Ermenrich LV60 PRO Laser Level is quite easy to set up, thanks in part to the convenient disassembly.

It is especially easy to adjust the level when the planes are shifted coaxially. It is enough to adjust only the position of the pendulum. Correction of the pendulum setup is done using the transverse and longitudinal adjustment bolts located in the pendulum body.

To correct the lateral tilt of the horizon, depending on the tilt, you need to tighten or loosen the transverse adjustment bolt.

If you need to raise or lower the plane, tighten or loosen (depending on whether the plane is facing up or down) the longitudinal adjustment bolt.

The position of an individual laser plane is adjusted using four bolts in the base of the laser module. In this case, we follow common sense.

We turn these bolts just a little bit at a time: loosen one bolt, tighten the antagonist bolt, and see how the plane behaves. If something goes wrong, the bolts can always be returned to their original position.

After a few iterations, it will become clear as to which bolts to tighten and which ones to loosen a little.
