Levenhuk Strike 80 NG is perfect for beginners or amateurs; an astronomy telescope that can help introduce learners to the fascinating world of stars, planets and far away galaxies.

Its range of capabilities is much broader than that of other models in this series. With its 360x magnification, this telescope shows you the smallest details of lunar craters and highlands; phases of Mercury; the Cassini Gap in the rings of Saturn and its moon, Iapetus; the largest details in the atmospheric flows of Jupiter; and polar caps of Mars during opposition. The telescope can even show you the binary stars with a separation of 1.6 arcseconds between their components, and has a limiting stellar magnitude of 11.5. And all this you get right out of the box!

This telescope would be perfect for any amateur astronomer. The optics included in the kit and the ease of set up and use allow even a child to observe and discover the marvels of the universe.

Levenhuk Strike NG is a brand new series of telescopes for amateur and beginner astronomers. Levenhuk Strike NG Telescopes are a wise choice for those who don't want to spend time assembling and adjusting a telescope, or browsing through an expansive list of accessories. Apart from the telescope itself, you also get the optics for astronomical and terrestrial observations and handbooks on astronomy that both amateurs and more advanced users will find interesting and useful. All of this makes the Levenhuk Strike NG Telescope one of the best beginners’ telescopes.

The kit includes everything you will need to make your observations fascinating and captivating. The informative handbooks and advanced software allow even a beginner to find the desired object in the night sky. This amazing telescope comes in a colorful box, and would make a perfect gift for any aspiring astronomer, who would cherish it for many years to come.

The kit is far more advanced than you would expect

1. "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook
This practical handbook will help any amateur plan and then enjoy stargazing. Written by a renowned expert, Alexander Shimbalev, it guides you through your first steps on the road to amazing discoveries. The book includes a number of star charts, listing the most interesting celestial objects. Commentaries help you orient yourself to the observation object and set up the telescope properly. Large-format prints showing the constellations and objects give you a preview of what the object should look like during your observations. This book takes you on a journey through the celestial sphere, where you will learn about 280 celestial objects and how to quickly locate them in the night sky, study the lunar surface, and observe the planets of the Solar System.

2. Stellarium is 3D planetarium software that allows you to see everything you can observe through a medium- or even high-powered telescope, including over 600,000 stars, planets of the Solar System, the Moon, nebulae and Milky Way galaxy. This software is capable of recreating a realistic sky in real time, providing you with panoramic views and allowing you to observe sunsets and sunrises, eclipses and comets without leaving your home. Now you can observe the sky even when it is raining cats and dogs outside.

3. Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System).
Three posters showing the cosmos as we know it. Each poster presents interesting information on various celestial objects in an easy-to-read format. The posters are 84x60 cm (33x24 in), printed on glossy coated paper.
Moon Poster. You will find out about the history of lunar exploration, learn all the characteristics of the Earth's satellite, and find answers to many questions that interest mankind, including the nature of dark spots on the lunar surface.
Sun and Other Stars Poster. This poster shows you that even though the Sun provides heat and light for the planets in the Solar System, it is still far from being a cosmic giant, as there are stars hundreds and even thousands times larger than the Sun. The poster includes the main characteristics of the stars, such as their physical properties and their history.
Solar System Poster. You will learn a number of interesting facts on the planets of the Solar System, including their composition, physical characteristics and age. Some descriptions contain predictions on the future of discussed planets, which make this poster a ticket on a journey in space and time through the Solar System.

4. Planisphere.
This is a rotating star chart that helps you quickly and easily determine what celestial objects may be observed at a given date and time. It allows you to locate specific constellations or other objects at certain latitudes for your planned observations. The planisphere is very easy to use: all you do is align the date on the star chart with a time on the viewer, and you will get an exact representation of the night sky. It is very reliable and will serve you for many years to come.

5. Compass.
People often forget how useful a compass can be during observations. Quickly orienting yourself in an unfamiliar place and determining where north is can be very easy with this compact compass. Easily locating the North Pole, Polaris and the Big Dipper will allow you to quickly begin your observations.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk Strike NG Telescope on a Yoke mount with declination axis
  • Stainless steel tripod
  • 1.25" plastic focuser
  • Two 1.25" eyepieces: F20 mm, F6 mm
  • 3x Barlow lens
  • Red Dot 3x20 finderscope
  • Diagonal mirror
  • "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook with descriptions of 280 celestial objects
  • Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System)
  • Planisphere
  • Stellarium software CD to assist you during your astronomical observations
  • Compass
  • User manual and lifetime warranty

This kit is a great way to study and practice astronomy, learn how to locate constellations, and observe the planets of the Solar System.

Hello! I've scanned all the answers but now I'm even more confused... Which filter is suitable for this telescope model? Levenhuk Solar Filter for 70mm Reflector Telescopes, Levenhuk Solar Filter for 76mm Reflector Telescopes, Levenhuk Solar Filter for 102mm Refractor Telescopes? All those filters were advised here... Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Solar Filter for 76mm Reflector Telescopes and Levenhuk Solar Filter for 102mm Reflector Telescopes are both suitable for this telescope (but they don't fit tight enough, so you will have to fix them additionally). Levenhuk Solar Filter for 70mm Reflector Telescopes is the least suitable one. Unfortunately, we don't have a filter that would fit Levenhuk Strike 80 NG perfectly at the time.

Jeremy Hansen (2016-01-23 10:09): Positive

Greetings! Can 360x magnification be achieved using standard eyepieces or additional eyepieces are required? If so, which eyepiece is needed? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The highest practical power of the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope is 160x. In order to achieve this magnification you need a 4.5mm eyepiece, increasing magnification any further will decrease image quality heavily.

Mark Ness (2015-08-03 08:30): Positive

To connect your camera to Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope you will need: 1. Sony M48 T-Ring 2. Levenhuk 2x Barlow Lens with Camera Adapter - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-2x-barlow-lens-with-camera-adapter/.

Scott Boone (2015-04-14 06:20): Positive
which solar filter would you recommend for this telescope? are these eyepieces from the kit threaded for filters? will I need to buy them separately? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Solar Filter for 102mm Refractor Telescopes (https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-solar-filter-for-102mm-refractor-telescopes/) is the most suitable filter in our product range for Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope. Unfortunately, eyepieces with filter threads are not included in the kit with Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope.

Alexandra (2015-03-20 02:43): Positive
Hello, i would like to ask if all of deep sky objects (nebulas, galaxies) included in Shimbalev´s book are observable with levenhuk strike 80ng? I am searching all night and i am sure i am pointing at right point and i can see only dark and some stars, i can ´t find any deep sky object excluding orion nebula thats the only one i can see. I am observing from outside the city so light pollution is not a problem. Is this telescope capable to observe deep sky obj? Thanks!!! Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Alexandra, thank you for your inquiry. This model is more suitable for planetary observations. But under good conditions you will be able to observe large globular clusters, bright nebulae. Under ideal conditions all Messier objects may be observed. If you need an instrument for observing deep-sky objects, such as distant galaxies, star clusters and nebulae, we recommend that you take a look at this section: https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/telescopes/object-deepsky/ Is there any additional information you might need?

Carlos (2015-03-18 08:35): Positive
Hello! I am happy with the purchase! Can you help me to choose some additional eyepieces for high-quality planetary observations? Levenhuk Customer Service:
To achieve the highest practical power of the instrument, you will need an eyepiece with 5-milimeter focal length, but, unfortunately, it is not on sale at the moment. We can recommend you take a look at Solar System Levenhuk F4 Filter Set - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/solar-system-levenhuk-f4-filter-set/. These optical filters will help you to improve image quality and contrast.

Mark Larsen (2015-03-10 03:30): Positive
Hello! Help me please! I'm choosing between Levenhuk Strike 80 NG and Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS. Actually I'm leaning toward Strike 90 PLUS, but its 600 mm focal length and 90 mm objective lens make me doubt (strike 80 NG has 720 mm focal length)... What about image quality? which telescope wins? And I'm also planning to use it for astrophotography with my camera Pentax K20. Which one would you advise me? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS Telescope is a better choice for astrophotography. When choosing a telescope, you should focus on the objective lens diameter - it is the most crucial feature.

Todd Dyer (2015-03-07 08:36): Positive
Hello! I have no experience in astronomy, but I worked with microscopes for a while. Bought a microscope for home use four months ago. So I was looking for a telescope and found this model Levenhuk Strike 80 NG. I need a telescope to observe Solar System planets. Images should be sharp. Could you advise me smth? Thank you in advance. Budget: about $150. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope is perfect for Solar System observations. It is designed especially for beginners. High-quality optics, rich kit, and a lifetime warranty.

Eric Greenler (2015-02-17 02:21): Positive
Last summer I purchased this model and also Bresser Super Plossl 6.5 mm eyepiece, wanted to enjoy beautiful views of Jupiter... but all I can see is a very blurry spot (when I use 20 mm eyepiece from the kit the image is also blurred). how can I fix that? As I can read on your website, I should be able to see Jupiter's bands and great red spot as well. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Could you please be more specific? Which accessories did you use? Did you also install 3x Barlow lens? What about other objects (the Moon, stars)? Are they blurred as well?

Neal Conrad (2015-02-15 06:09): Positive
hello! I don't get one thing... This is your comment that you posted some time ago, where you recommended using 80 mm solar filter with this telescope: Sara Jacobson (2013-07-28 12:31): 1. Is it possible to see Uranus, Neptune through it 2. Which filter is needed for observing the Sun Levenhuk Customer Service: 1. You will see Uranus and Neptune as small discs without details. 2. To observe the Sun you will need this filter: https://www.levenhuk.com/products/solar-filter-levenhuk80/ And then I accidently found this among comments on Levenhuk 80 mm Solar Filter product page: jamie alexander (2013-11-12 01:49): Is it suitable for use with levenhuk strike 80 ng?? Levenhuk Customer Service: Unfortunately Levenhuk 80 mm Solar Filter does not fit Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope. More precisely, it will cover the lens, but it won't be tight on the telescope. Is it a mistake? is this filter suitable for the model or not? Levenhuk Customer Service:
A more thorough testing of the Levenhuk 80 mm solar filter has revealed their mismatch. The diameter of the lens shade does not coincide with the filter diameter.

Doug M. Porter (2015-01-17 12:37): Positive
Good day. I have an SLR camera (Sony Alpha), I thought maybe I could connect it to the telescope somehow? For example using your 44473 Barlow lens and T-adapter? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Yes, you can connect your camera to the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope. For this you need Levenhuk 2x Barlow Lens with Camera Adapter (Product ID 44473) - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-2x-barlow-lens-with-camera-adapter/ and a T-ring for Minolta 700 and Sony Alpha cameras, which you can buy in a special camera store.

Jane Black (2015-01-15 09:54): Positive
Hi! I'm the happy owner of this telescope now, but I'm a newbie. So I can't understand why do I need a Barlow lens when highest practical power of the telescope is 160x? As I see it I can only use it with 20mm eyepiece (if we take in account only accessories included in the kit) with a resulting magnification of 108x, right? But how can I get those 160x? Please recommend the right eyepiece, the price doesn't really matter. I just want to get quality sharp images and be able to use solar and lunar filters. By the way please recommend the right filters as well. Thank you. Levenhuk Customer Service:
A Barlow lens is used to increase the magnification twice or trice, depending on the magnification of the lens itself. If you are going to use 3x Barlow lens, then eyepieces with focal length of 14mm and longer are suitable. To get the highest practical power of 160x you need 4.5mm eyepiece, but unfortunately such eyepieces are currently unavailable in our store. You can also use 2x Barlow lens, then the eyepiece you need should have 9-mm focal length, for example Levenhuk Plossl 9 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-plossl-9mm-eyepiece/. As for optical filters Solar System Levenhuk F4 Filter Set - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/solar-system-levenhuk-f4-filter-set/ is great for lunar and planetary observations. Unfortunately suitable solar filters are unavailable at the moment.

Raul Conley (2015-01-06 01:14): Positive
Hello! I am from Fairbanks, Alaska. I don't have a clue about telescopes, and, honestly, have no idea why I chose this particular model (maybe its low price attracted me)... so what do you think? If I purchase this telescope, will I need some accessories in addition because of our harsh climate? Thanks in advance! Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG has a lifetime warranty and comes with rich accessory kit. It is perfect for both astronomical and terrestrial observations. Its standard barrel diameter of 1.25" allows you to purchase additional eyepieces and Barlow lenses.

Ted Skinner (2014-12-14 10:01): Positive
Could you recommend any eyepiece with magnification of about 75x? the kit includes only 36x and 120x eyepieces... Levenhuk Customer Service:
You need 10mm eyepiece (72x), but unfortunately those are out of stock at the moment.

Tati (2014-12-01 06:14): Positive
Hello! We are interested in the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG model. But we are absolute beginners, don't have any experience with telescopes and other optical instruments. We would like to purchase a telescope that is suitable for both kids and adults. Is this model a good choice for us? What accessories should we purchase in addition? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG is a perfect fit for beginners, it is very easy to use, functional and comes with lots of useful accessories. Additionally you can purchase a set of optical filters, for example The Moon and Mars Levenhuk F2 Filter Set - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/moon-and-mars-levenhuk-f2-filter-set/

Andy (2014-11-29 12:41): Positive
Hello! Could you please give me your advice? Can I use my Nikon d3200 with this telescope? or should I buy a special camera? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Your camera can be connected using Levenhuk 2x Barlow Lens with Camera Adapter - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-2x-barlow-lens-with-camera-adapter/; and a T-ring for Nikon cameras, which is unfortunately unavailable in our store. And of course you can choose one of our cameras for astrophotography: https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/digital-cameras/for-telescopes/

Tyler Sharpe (2014-11-27 02:29): Positive
Can I observe terrestrial objects with this instrument? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope is suitable for terrestrial observations, produced images will be mirrored. To get correctly oriented images you can use an erecting prism.

Clayton Kidd (2014-11-26 08:17): Positive
what is the magnification of eyepieces? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope comes with 20 mm and 6 mm eyepieces. With 20 mm eyepiece magnification will be 36x and with 6 mm - 120x. The kit also includes 3x Barlow lens, which means that magnification will be increased 3 times.

Clayton Kidd (2014-11-19 05:46): Positive
What is the maximum magnification power of this telescope? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The maximum useful magnification of Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope is 160x.

Prem kumar (2014-11-16 02:09): Positive
can i connect this telescope to laptop, to take any video or picture ?? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Prem, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products. In order to connect the telescope to your PC, you will need a camera. For example, Levenhuk T310 NG Digital Camera which you can find here online: https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-t310-ng-digital-camera/ You will be able to observe objects in real time and take pictures. Is there any additional information you might need?

Clayton Kidd (2014-11-12 09:07): Positive
images will be upright? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope produces direct (not inverted), but mirrored images.

Pam Rogers (2014-11-05 10:18): Positive
Hello! Can I use Celestron lunar filter with eyepieces that come with the telescope? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Unfortunately, it is not possible. Eyepieces that come with the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope do not have a thread to attach optical filters. To use lunar filter with the telescope you should purchase an eyepiece with a special thread, for example Levenhuk Plossl 12 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/levenhuk-plossl-12mm-eyepiece/

Ed Ramer (2014-10-30 08:01): Positive
Is it possible to return a telescope with no defects? I would like to exchange it for a more expensive model with an additional payment. The telescope is in great condition: box, all accessories and everything. I only used it like 2 times. And one more question… I have one more telescope, very old, can I exchange it to a gift card or a discount? Levenhuk Customer Service:
1. Goods return or exchange is only possible if the product has not been in use. 2. Unfortunately, there is no such possibility.

William Jordan (2014-09-12 10:03): Positive
I bought Levenhuk Strike 80 NG (which is a great telescope I should say) and my friend told me to buy 4mm eyepiece to use with it, but I have my doubts. So could you tell me if it makes any sense to use 4mm eyepiece with Strike 80 NG? Levenhuk Customer Service:
We don't recommend using 4mm eyepiece with the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope since in this case the highest practical power of your telescope (180x) will be exceeded.

Andy Robbins (2014-08-25 10:23): Positive
I'm really interested in this model, but I have no experience with telescopes and I also have a low vision, so here's the question: my myopia is minus 8, will I be able to see anything through this telescope? Or any telescope at all? Do they have diopter adjustment? I have binoculars with this feature (diopter adjustment), so I have no problems with them. Levenhuk Customer Service:
You can observe with Levenhuk Strike 80 NG while wearing glasses, for more comfortable observations please consider using eyepieces with long eye relief.

Ronald Blair (2014-08-25 09:39): Positive
Hello! Does this telescope provide mirrored images like Levenhuk Strike 90 plus does? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope provides mirrored and inverted (upside down) images. To obtain direct images erecting prism is required. Unfortunately this telescope accessory is currently unavailable in our store.

Ronald E. Hart (2014-08-05 09:51): Positive
I can't get the telescope to catch focus after installing Barlow lens and 20 mm eyepiece... Levenhuk Customer Service:

Previously I had Bresser telescope and there was 1.5x erecting eyepiece included in the kit, the eyepiece gives a direct image. Is this eyepiece suitable for use with Levenhuk Strike 80 NG? Can I combine 20 mm eyepiece, 3x Barlow lens and 1.5x erecting lens? I expect that it will give me 162x magnification Levenhuk Customer Service:
Please specify the model of your previous telescope.

What is focal ratio? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Focal ratio is the measure of the light-gathering power of the objective lens. Practically, it is determined by the diameter of the objective lens (telescope's aperture) - the larger the aperture, the more light comes through it, the higher resolution or amount of visible details the telescope is capable to get. The list of things that you can see with a telescope based on its aperture can be foung here - https://www.levenhuk.com/reviews/things_you_can_see/

Tell me... which model has more capabilities? This one or Levenhuk Skyline 70x900 EQ? what's the crucial difference between them? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG will be preferable due to the large number of additional accessories that come in the kit; it also has larger objective lens diameter and produce higher maximum magnification.

Hello! I'd like to know what is the field of view of these eyepieces from the kit? And also using which eyepieces (better if with large field of view) can I obtain 160x magnification with Barlow lens or without one? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The field of view of the eyepieces from Levenhuk Strike 80 NG kit is 67 arc minutes for 20 mm eyepiece and 20 arc minutes for 6 mm eyepiece, 22 arc minutes for 20 mm eyepiece combined with 3x Barlow Lens, 7 arc minutes for 6 mm eyepiece used together with 3x Barlow lens. To obtain the maximum useful magnification which is 160x you will need an eyepiece with focal length of 4.5 mm. Suitable eyepiece is not available at the moment. You can use 2x Barlow Lens, for example Levenhuk A2x Barlow Lens - https://www.levenhuk.com/products/acc_levenhuk_barlow_lens_a2x/ and 9 mm eyepiece, for example, Levenhuk Plossl 9 mm Eyepiece - https://www.levenhuk.com/products/eyepiece-levenhuk-plossl-9mm/.

Hello. I am ready to buy my first telescope, please help me choose the right model. The budget is $100-150. I've never owned a telescope before and have zero experience, which model is better for a beginner like me? Which model has better optics and higher image quality? Which type of mount is better for beginners? Thanks in advance. Levenhuk Customer Service:
We recommend you to decide in favor of Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope, because it's an optimal choice for beginners in regards of quality, kit and ease of use. Please note that Levenhuk products are covered by lifetime warranty. As for the mount, then the best type for entry-level users is alt-azimuth since it doesn't require additional settings and is very easy to use. Telescopes on alt-azimuth mounts also can be used for terrestrial observations.

Are images colored? Aren't they reversed? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 80 NG Telescope provides colored images during terrestrial observations, not reversed, but mirrored. Images provided by almost any telescope during visual observations are closer to black and white than colored. The only exception is the Moon.

When observing during summer nights dew settles on the objective. Doesn't it get inside the tube? Levenhuk Customer Service:

Ann Berg (2014-01-20 12:24): Positive
The magnification of this telescope is 360x, then I assume it's better than Levenhuk Skyline 70x900 EQ? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The highest practical power of the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG telescope is 160x (twice the aperture). These calculations apply to all refractors. 360x is the maximum magnification you can get out of the box, but image quality won't be satisfactory. Therefore Levenhuk Skyline 70x900 is really less powerful than Levenhuk Strike 80 NG, but only by 20x.

Please suggest which telescope would make a good gift for a husband. I need it to provide sharp images when observing in the city and to be not very expensive ($220 tops). I am opting for this one but having doubts, maybe there are better models? I would also like it to be suitable for astrophoitography.... Levenhuk Customer Service:
It is better to use this model in the countryside. For frequent observations under urban illumination conditions you would need a reflecting telescope. Consider this model https://www.levenhuk.com/products/levenhuk_skyline_120_1000eq/ for only $189.95. To connect a digital camera you need a T-ring adapter.

Hi Scott, Thanks for the question. Let me assure you that the assembly of this telescope is real easy, you may find more details in the user's manual here at https://cdn.levenhuk.com/products/materials/0/levenhuk-strike-ng-web.pdf. I am comparing your scope to this one at the same price. This one has a motor and seems to be better...Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ Reflector Telescope...what do you think, is your scope better than this one, honestly please compare the two if you please. A new customer and new to astronomy, but not a sucker so be honest with me. Also they have free shipping, what are your costs? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Hi Scott, Thanks for the query. The Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ is a reflecting telescope whereas the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG is a refractor which is a much better choice for someone new to astronomy. The Strike 80 NG refractor can be used both in the city and countryside environment because the tube is sealed and you don't get any dust or moisture inside which is not the case with the reflector which requires more maintenance. The Strike 80 NG refracting telescope also does not require any adjustments and has less aberrations as compared to the AstroMaster 114 EQ reflector. The Strike 80 NG model is more lightweight than the AstroMaster 114 EQ. Another advantage of the Strike 80 NG refractor is an amazing kit which comes with it and includes the following: - "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook - 3D Stellarium - Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System) - Planisphere (rotating star chart) - Compass. The shipping cost depends on the destination and the courier. You may choose one of the following: - UPS Ground - UPS 2nd Day Air - UPS Next Day Air - USPS Standard Mail - USPS Priority Mail Please let me know your ZIP and the preferred courier, I'll calculate the shipping cost for you. Is there any additional information you might need?

Which eyepiece should I use with Barlow lens included in the kit? And where can I find some info on how to figure it out? Levenhuk Customer Service:
When using a 3x Barlow lens you need an eyepiece with a focal length of 14 mm and more. You can find out which eyepiece you should use by dividing the telescope focal length by the desired resulting magnification. But you should keep in mind that the highest practical power of this telescope is 160x. You can calculate it by multiplying the objective lens diameter by two. A Barlow lens doubles or triples (depending on model) an eyepiece magnification.

Sara Jacobson (2013-05-28 12:24): Positive
Which eyepiece is required to obtain the highest practical power of 160x? Levenhuk Customer Service:
To obtain the highest practical power of the Levenhuk Strike 80 NG model, you need a 4.5 mm eyepiece. It's a quite rare eyepiece. But you can use this one: https://www.levenhuk.com/products/eyepiece-levenhuk-ra-ler-5/, the resulting magnification would be close to highest practical power - 144x.

But unfortunately that's not enough to see Neptune in details. To achieve the edge of the Solar System you need a telescope with an aperture of 130 mm and higher.

Hello, are additional accessories included the kits of 60 NG and 80 NG equal (filters, erecting eyepiece, solar filter, case ….)? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Those accessories don't come with the models you mentioned. You can purchase planetary and solar filters, erecting eyepiece and telescope case separately.
