Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS is a basic Newtonian telescope of the PLUS series. The main advantage of reflecting telescopes is complete absence of any chromatic aberrations that may be seen during observations with refracting telescopes. This model allows you to see all the famous sights of the Solar System as well as the largest and brightest deep-sky objects. You will be able to study the surfaces of planets and the Moon in great detail, behold the beautiful rings of Saturn and satellites of Jupiter; and explore the great expanse of the celestial sphere.

Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope is very easy to use. Its tube is set up on a German equatorial mount, complete with slow-motion controls. You have to align an equatorial mount before your observations, but it is far more useful than an altazimuth mount during observations of moving objects. It has special setting circles that allow you to point your telescope to a celestial object using its celestial coordinates. The mount itself is installed on a sturdy and reliable steel tripod. A red dot finder, attached to the tube of the telescope, acts as a laser pointer and significantly simplifies navigation through the starry sky, allowing you to find the desired object very quickly.

Levenhuk Strike PLUS Telescopes are made with high-quality optics. The series includes a refractor and two Newtonian telescopes. The Levenhuk optics used in these models are comparable to those used in professional telescopes. All the lenses and mirrors are made of fully multi-coated glass, which provides extremely sharp and saturated images of observed objects, something that Levenhuk telescopes are renowned for.

The advanced kit of this series includes everything you need to get the most from your telescope. The expansive kit of additional accessories includes books and software that will help you learn more about astronomy, extra eyepieces (including a zoom eyepiece), and a Zongo 40 Telescope Case. The telescope itself comes in a colorful box.

All this makes the Levenhuk Strike PLUS Telescope a wonderful present for any amateur astronomer who is fascinated by the mysteries of the cosmos.

The unique kit of Levenhuk Strike PLUS Telescope contains:

1. "See it all!" Astronomer's Handbook. This practical handbook was created specifically for beginning astronomers. It contains valuable information on over 280 celestial objects and the cosmos in general, as well as colorful star charts and facts on the design of different telescopes.

2. Stellarium. This is 3D planetarium software that allows you to plan your observations and explore the night sky several years in the future. The database contains over 600,000 stars, planets of the Solar System, the Moon, comets and asteroids, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. All this can be rendered in just a few moments and studied directly on your computer!

3. Space Posters Set (Moon, Sun and Other Stars, Solar System). These posters will help you explore the universe and learn interesting facts about the Solar system, its planets and satellites, and various distant stars. Colorful illustrations and captions present necessary information in an easy-to-read format. The posters are 84x60 cm (33x24 in).

4. Planisphere. This rotating star chart is a handy tool that allows you to find out what celestial objects and constellations are visible above the horizon at a given date and time. All you need to do is align the viewer and the star chart, providing a date and time.

5. Compass. Truly an invaluable tool that can help you orient yourself to the Northern pole on your observation site. Afterwards, it is easy to locate Polaris in the night sky, which provides a starting point for further observations.

6. 7.5-22 mm zoom eyepiece. This is a wonderful eyepiece that can completely replace several eyepieces. By adjusting its focal length, you can change the highest practical power without having to replace the eyepiece. It allows you to enjoy planetary observations and forget about additional calibrations.

7. Levenhuk Zongo 40 Telescope Case. This case is made of a sturdy waterproof material, and the padded lining protects the telescope from impact. The case is also fitted with handle straps for easy transportation.

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk Strike PLUS Telescope on a German equatorial mount
  • Steel tripod
  • Plastic focuser 1.25"
  • Eyepieces: KF 25, PL 10 mm
  • Zoom eyepiece 7.5-22 mm

Cody Goodman (2015-01-12 09:34): Positive
Hello! Could you please help me? Which telescope should I choose strike 90 plus or this one? Will images be reversed from left to right? Levenhuk Customer Service:
For observations in the city and in countryside we recommend you consider Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS as it features quality optics and comes with a large number of quality additional accessories. Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope produces mirror images (reversed left to right).

Tommy Murray (2014-01-21 06:19): Positive
good day! Is it possible to observe the moon in high quality? Or is it generally for the deep-sky? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope is perfect for deep-sky observations but you can easily observe the Moon as well. It appears pretty large and picturesque!

Nancy McConnell (2013-12-27 11:26): Positive
Hi! Bought this model. Please tell me if it's possible to take pictures with a camera and what do I need for this? Levenhuk Customer Service:
It's possible to install a digital camera on the Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS telescope. You need: Levenhuk 2x Barlow lens with camera adapter: https://www.levenhuk.com/products/levenhuk-barlow-lens-2x-adapter/ ; T- adapter accessory (depends on the model of the camera). Also consider using cameras designed specifically for telescopes: https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/digital-cameras-telescope-all-items/, in this case there's no need in additional accessories.

Dana Reeley (2013-12-10 05:06): Positive
Good day, please tell me that information about the kit in the description, does that stuff in the kit come with the telescope or I'm supposed to purchase it separately? Levenhuk Customer Service:
All of the accessories come with Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope and don't require any additional payments.

Leonard Hays (2013-12-03 08:16): Positive
Guys! I don't really get it! First you say that terrestrial observations are possible then that they aren't. Where's the truth? What about an erecting eyepiece? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope is not supposed to be used for terrestrial observations! Newtonian reflectors are designed for deep-sky. There is an erecting eyepiece available so you can try terrestrial observations, but poor image quality will make you come back to the sky observations. Refractors magnify, reflectors gather light - that's where their capabilities at terrestrial observations come from.

Marcus Cooper (2013-12-02 03:12): Positive
You meant refractors for terrestrial observations, right? Levenhuk Customer Service:
That's correct! That's exactly what I wanted to tell you. Therefore Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS is suitable for sky observations only and preferably outside of the city because it's very sensitive to the city illumination.

Marcus Cooper (2013-12-02 02:02): Positive
good day. Is this prism ( https://www.levenhuk.com/products/45degree_erect_prisma_levenhuk_7517/ ) suitable for Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS is designed for stargazing only so there's no possibility to install an erecting prism. For terrestrial observations lens telescopes are used and erecting prism is an accessory for that type of telescopes. Please pay attention to the Levenhuk Strike 90 PLUS telescope: https://www.levenhuk.com/products/telescope-levenhuk-strike-90-plus/

Daven Maxwell (2013-11-18 08:41): Positive
Which one is better (considering it's the first astronomy experience) for the suburbs observations of the planets and galaxies: Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS or Levenhuk Skyline 90х900 EQ? oh! Astrophotography is also required. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS Telescope makes a perfect first telescope. It has rich kit and excellent image quality.

Daniel Morrow (2013-05-21 12:24): Positive
Hello again! Thanks for reply! I have a couple more questions. What kind of erecting eyepiece is suitable for Levenhuk Strike 115 PLUS telescope? Is there a point in buying it and using it with this telescope for terrestrial observations? Would the resulting images be quality enough? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Erecting eyepiece with barrel diameter of 1.25" will fit, for example https://www.levenhuk.com/products/erecting-levenhuk-15x/. Unfortunately this eyepiece is currently out of stock, check back for updates. Image quality while using erecting eyepiece unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired.

Daniel Morrow (2013-05-19 03:52): Positive
