Levenhuk MED D1000T Digital Microscope is supplied with a modern 14 Mpx camera that allows for using it not only for visual observations, but also for microphotography. A camera is useful for transferring an image from a microscope objective to an external screen, take pictures of specimens, and record videos of research. High resolution of the delivered image allows for observing the tiniest details of the specimens at the digitalized pictures.
Microscopes in the Levenhuk MED 1000 series are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system that is used in professional and high-class microscopes. This system includes Infinity PlanAchromat objectives and allows for receiving clear, high-contrast images with a high level of flatness.
One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows for installing any additional elements in the light path between objective lenses and an ocular tube. These elements include polarizing devices, epifluorescence lights, and DIC prisms with minimal deviations in the focus and correction of aberrations. All in all, the module principle of the design and simple use make Levenhuk MED 1000 optimal microscopes for applying them in different types of microscopy and working in hematological, histological, microbiological laboratories, and more.
The optics is the main feature of this microscope. It features plan achromatic objective lenses that deliver a sharper and more detailed image compared to even professional achromatic objective lenses. plan achromatic optics minimize spherical aberrations, correct the field curvature, and improve color rendering. The kit also includes wide-field eyepieces. The magnification range is from 40x to 1000x, observations using oil immersion are possible.
The microscope head consists of three eyepiece tubes. Two of them are used for observations (binocular head), and a separate eyepiece tube is used for installing a digital camera (included in the kit). You can study the specimens and simultaneously transfer an image from the microscope to an external screen. The head is 360° rotatable around its axis, and the third eyepiece tube is inclined at a 30° angle.
The illumination system is also worth mentioning. It allows for setting up the Köhler illumination and, therefore, obtain a higher resolution image while maintaining an ideal contrast ratio. The light source, an LED with adjustable brightness, is located below. Then, the light goes through an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a light filter. The illumination is powered by an AC supply.
The movable stage is covered with graphite coating. Coarse and fine focusing adjustment mechanism is used for sharpness adjustment; the knobs are located on the body.
The kit includes a dust cover for practical storage. Optional accessories in the Levenhuk MED series (purchased separately) allow upgrading your microscope in no time.

Caution:
- Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
- Before you start, unscrew the locking screw that restrains the stage that is located under the moving light source.
