Levenhuk MED 45T trinocular microscope is a professional tool for 40x to 1000x microscopic studies. It uses infinity-corrected phase contrast plan achromatic objective lenses and has Köhler illumination adjustment. You can study a specimen using phase contrast in the bright or dark field. This microscope is absolutely indispensable for a microbiologist, biochemist, or health professional.
Advantages of a phase-contrast method
It is noteworthy that phase-contrast microscopy allows for using this optical instrument. This method improves the contrast and sharpness of semi-transparent and transparent microscope slides up to a level that can be only reached by dying slides during a standard research method. That is why phase-contrast microscopy is indispensable during studying live specimens in their native state, as dying them inevitably leads to their death. This method can be applied for drinking water analysis, parasitic, cytological, hematological, and other research.
Plan achromatic infinity-corrected optics
The microscopes in the Levenhuk MED 45 series are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system that is used in professional and high-class microscopes. This system includes Infinity PlanAchromat objectives and allows for obtaining clear, high contrast images with a high level of flatness.
One of the most important features of an infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows for installing any additional parts in the optical path between objective lenses and an ocular tube. The additional parts include polarizers and epi-fluorescence light. All in all, modular design and simple operation make Levenhuk MED 45 optimal microscopes for use in different kinds of microscopy and working in hematological, histological, microbiological, and other laboratories.
Trinocular rotatable head
The visual part of the trinocular head is inclined by 30°, whereas the eyepiece tube for a digital camera is vertical. The camera is not included in the kit. The entire head may be rotated around its axis by 360°.
Capabilities of the optical system
The revolving nosepiece can accommodate five objectives; the kit includes four phase contrast plan achromatic objective lens of various magnification. High-magnification objectives have spring rims. A 100x objective lens is used for observations with oil immersion. Wide-field eyepieces allow for handling extended specimens and adjusting diopters for the user’s eyesight. The optical system transmits a high-definition and high-contrast image, generates a flat field and minimizes chromatic aberration. All of the accessories are made of optical glass with anti-fungal coating.
Convenient work with microscope slides
The stage has a mechanical scale. The stage can move in two directions. The phase contrast condenser is only used for observations by the “dry” method. The light is located at the bottom. It is a 5 W LED with brightness adjustment. You can adjust sharpness by turning the coarse and fine focusing knobs.
The light is powered by an AC power supply.

Caution:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220–240V in most European countries.
