This microscope model comes with three objectives producing 64x, 160x, and 640x magnification. 40xs objective lens is equipped with a special spring-loaded mechanism, which protects the optics from mechanical damage. If you lower the objective too much and it touches the microscope slide, the spring-loaded lens will retract a little, preventing any possible damage. The kit also includes 2x Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification of any given objective lens. The basic configuration of the model allows you to obtain up to 1280x magnification power!
The microscope is equipped with two bright LED illumination sources. The lower illumination allows for observing transparent samples in transmitted light – for example, you can observe ciliates, or study the structure of indoor plants. Upper illumination is used for viewing opaque samples such as paper or cloth. If you turn both illumination systems on, you will also be able to observe semi-transparent objects. You can adjust the brightness level to achieve the best viewing results for a particular microscope sample.
The durable metal body ensures the microscope’s long service life. It is suitable for individual use at home, as well as for intensive everyday use in schools, colleges, and laboratories. The monocular head is inclined at an angle of 45 degrees for the most comfortable viewing position. Moreover, the head rotates 360 degrees around its axis and can be successfully used for working in a group of people.
Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit allows beginning researchers to conduct many interesting experiments on their own. The kit includes ready-to-use microscope samples, a variety of tools for preparing microscope slides, and a very helpful user guide with all necessary information for inexperienced users.
The kit also includes a very convenient and durable plastic case. It securely protects the instrument from dust and mechanical damage during transportation and storage.
