Encourage your kid’s interest in science! Give him or her this wonderful microscope for beginners that includes everything needed for conducting independent experiments and research. And maybe these experiments will be your child’s first steps towards winning the Nobel Prize! Thanks to its wide magnification range, the microscope is suitable for observing a huge number of interesting samples. The microscope has a bright body of lime color – an ideal choice for a school kid or a student!
The microscope comes with three objective lenses producing 64x, 160x, and 640x magnification. 40xs objective lens (the most powerful one in the kit) is equipped with a special spring mechanism. If you accidently touch the microscope slide with the objective lens, the mechanism will prevent the slide from cracking. The microscope kit also includes 2x Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification of any given objective lens. Thus, the microscope magnification reaches 1280x!
The optics are made of quality multi-coated optical glass. As a result, you will always get clear, bright, and sharp images.
The microscope features combined upper and lower LED illumination system. To observe transparent objects – thin plant cuts, cat and dog hair; aquarium water – use lower illumination. Upper illumination is used for observing opaque objects; for example, paper or cloth. Moreover, this microscope model allows for viewing translucent objects – for that purpose both illuminations are used simultaneously. You can also adjust the brightness level for the best possible view of a particular microscope sample.
Durable and convenient body
The microscope is distinguished by its modern and stylish design, as well as for its high reliability. The durable metal body of the instrument allows for its long service life even when it is used intensively in schools, colleges, or medical laboratories. For even more convenient use, the microscope head is inclined at an angle of 45 degrees. The head is also 360-degrees rotatable, which is very convenient for group work.
The microscope can run on AC power, as well as on batteries.
Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
The Levenhuk K50 Experiment kit is included in the package. With this kit you can observe ready-to-use microscope samples, prepare your own slides, breed aquarium crayfish, and do many other interesting things! The informative user guide contains all necessary information about the microscope, as well as professional tips and recommendations on preparing slides and conducting experiments.
Like any other optical instrument, this microscope requires careful handling. This reliable case securely protects the instrument from mechanical shock and dust.

Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Microscope - Total: 29 0 29
Tell me please if there's any significant difference in image quality between LEVENHUK Rainbow 50L and LEVENHUK Rainbow 50L PLUS? I've just read comments and it seems that 1280x magnification isn't that useful... you can't observe bacteria and images may get blurry. What objects will I be able to see with the PLUS model that won't be seen with 50l microscope? Levenhuk Customer Service:
The difference in quality won't be very significant. The advanced 50L PLUS model will give you a more detailed view.
Should I buy something in addition to this microscope? Or everything needed is included? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Moonstone Microscope comes with everything needed for your first observations and experiments. We also recommend that you pay attention to our prepared slides sets - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/accessories/experiment-kits/.
Hello! I recently got this microscope. When I install 4x and 10x objectives, everything is good. But not with a 40x one. I can't see anything but black dots. I tried to move the stage in all possible ways, but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? Levenhuk Customer Service:
When you observe at high magnifications with Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS or any other microscope, the field of view becomes much narrower. Therefore it becomes harder to locate a sample. Always start from the lowest magnification - you will be able to easily locate, center, and focus the view. Then incrementally switch to higher increases to see more detailed views.
and what should I do if I need lower magnifications? Like 10x or 20x? This microscope minimum magnification is 64x, right? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Yes, Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Microscope provides 64x minimum magnification. You won't be able to get 10x or 20x magnifications with this model.
What is a hatchery for artemia used for? Levenhuk Customer Service:
It is used for growing Artemia.
Will I be able to replace eyepieces and objectives in order to increase magnification? Levenhuk Customer Service:
No, you won't be able to replace eyepieces and objectives on the Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Moonstone Microscope.
As far as I know, bacteria can be observed at 1000x magnification... and this microscope features 1280x maximum power. So why you tell that this microscope isn't suited for this purpose? Levenhuk Customer Service:
At maximum magnification image quality may be slightly decreased, therefore we recommend using a laboratory microscope for observations of bacteria. For example, Levenhuk 320 Biological Microscope - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-320/.
hi, where are the instructions to use the experiment kit? thanks Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Jorge, thank you for your inquiry. You can find descriptions of all experiments inside the "Attractive Microscope. Scrutinizing the Microcosm" User Guide. Is there any additional information you might need?
