Trinocular microscopes provide more possibilities for observations and take it to the whole new level. Trinocular head allows for observing with both eyes and sharing the view with another observer or - most commonly - additionally attach a digital camera to the third eyepiece so you can observe and take pictures at the same time. Using a digital camera, you can save images for further use (it’s a very convenient feature; you can save the results of your observations on your computer). It also provides an opportunity to study microscope slides in the tiniest detail on your PC monitor. For these reasons trinocular microscopes are highly valued among both amateurs and professionals. Binocular microscopes allow you to obse rve and capture the views at the same time as well, but with a little less comfort, since attaching a camera leaves you with only one eyepiece to observe. And group observations without a digital camera appear to be absolutely impossible with binocular microscopes. In other words, trinocular microscopes are as good quality and professional as binocular models, but give you more opportunities for improving the observation process even further. Large companies often buy trinocular microscopes for equipping their laboratories and research centers, but this type of microscope is also favored by a great number of aspiring amateurs, especially the ones who are into microphotography.
