Discovery Pico Polar is a classic monocular microscope with achromatic optics that provides magnification from 40x to 400x. It is ideal for those who have no experience in micro research and are looking for the first microscope in their life. Using this model, you can observe life in a drop of water, protozoa, the structure of parts of insects and plants, and much more. The kit also includes an educational book about microscopes and the microbial world.
The microscope features an angled head that provides comfort during long-term observations. It can also be rotated 360° horizontally. This option is useful when the sample needs to be shown to several researchers: to turn the head is much easier and more convenient than to move the entire microscope. The optical design consists of one eyepiece and three objectives. The optics are achromatic and, therefore, they transmit a clear picture. The 40x objective is equipped with the spring-loaded frame. The fine and coarse focusing are available.
To make it more convenient to work with specimens, the stage is supplemented with clips. There is also a diaphragm disc that adjusts the luminous flux coming from the lower illuminator. The illumination system consists of two lights: upper and lower. The illumination brightness is adjustable. It is powered by batteries (not included) or AC (adapter included).
Due to the "Invisible World" knowledge book, working with a microscope will become even more interesting. It not only introduces the basics of controlling this device, but also tells all about the various tiny inhabitants of the microbial world. The book also contains descriptions of simple scientific experiments that can be carried out using a microscope, even without any preparation.
