The Discovery Micro Polar microscope will open a window to the microcosm, its structure, and its inhabitants. The optics can provide observations of the cellular structure of plant and animal tissues, small elements of the limbs and wings of insects, and much more. Prepared slides are the best objects for observation under this microscope. The microscope is an excellent choice for novice users who have no previous experience with optical instruments.
Optical system
The microscope provides magnifications ranging from 40x to 640x and allows for observing many transparent specimens, including tiny aquatic organisms. However, bacteria cannot be seen – this requires more powerful optics. The microscope revolving nosepiece is designed for three objectives (4x, 10x, and 40x). The microscope is equipped with a 10x-16x sliding two-position eyepiece. The eyepiece is non-removable, so you will never lose it. Sharpness is manually adjusted with the side coarse focus knobs. The 45° eyepiece tube inclination angle allows for observation with maximum comfort.
Adjusting LED illumination system
The round stage is equipped with two metal clips, which are used to securely fix the specimen under the objective. The illumination includes one LED light with adjustable brightness. It is placed under the stage. The microscope also features a diaphragm disk that helps to regulate the luminous flux. The backlight is powered by batteries (not included), so the microscope is portable and can be used even in the field.
Book of microworld knowledge
The microscope comes with the "Invisible World" knowledge book. It is completely devoted to microscopy and explains what microscopes are, what tiny organisms live around us, and how they can be seen using modern optical instruments. The book is written in simple, easy-to-understand language, and it describes interesting experiments and entertaining facts. The pages contain many colorful pictures and photographs.
