Levenhuk Skyline 76x700 AZ is a reflecting telescope of Newtonian optical design. With its high-quality views, practicality and a reasonable price, this is a good model for an amateur astronomer, who is just beginning his or her observations of the night sky. The optical design of this telescope lacks any color distortion which is common in regular refracting telescopes and prevents chromatic aberrations during observations of bright objects. The standard kit includes everything you need to start observing. The 76-mm mirror of the telescope gathers 100 times more light than the naked eye and is powerful enough to show you the Solar System and beyond. Lunar highlands and craters, phases of Venus, Jupiter and its four moons, rings of Saturn and its moon, Titan, binary stars and star clusters, as well as bright nebulae and galaxies - you will be able to see all this and beyond.
Mirrors are fully multi-coated. The sturdy and lightweight aluminum tube is set up on an altazimuth mount with easy-to-use slow-motion controls. The adjustable height tripod has a practical accessory tray where you can store all your tools. The 6x magnification finder scope allows you to quickly navigate to the desired location. The kit includes 10-mm and 25-mm eyepieces with 52-deg field of view of 70x and 28x magnification respectively. The lenses are made of glass and are fully multi-coated. The rack-and-pinion focuser accepts 1.25'' (31.75 mm) eyepieces; so you can use eyepieces purchased separately - not just those supplied with the kit - therefore increasing the magnification to the highest practical power of 150x.
