Am starting in Astronomy and was wondering how well these work for observing the night sky, moon, stars, nebulae. Any information greatly appreciated. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Hi Glenn, Thanks for the query. The Levenhuk Bino PLUS 16x50 Binoculars are great for this type of observations, but unless you want to use them with a tripod, I'd recommend to go for a more light weight Levenhuk Bino PLUS 12x50 Binoculars which can be found here at https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/binoculars/levenhuk-bino-plus-12x50/ This is a perfect choice for a beginner in astronomy, the main advantage is that you can hold them steady and don't really need a tripod in order to observe the night sky. Is there any additional information you might need?

1) What's the optics material (is it BK-7 or BaK-4) 2) What's the weight? I'm planning to use them at day time for observing distant natural landscapes. Thank you for your answers. Levenhuk Customer Service:
1. The optics of the Levenhuk Bino PLUS 16x50 binoculars are made of high-quality BaK-4 glass. 2. This model's weight is about 1.8 lbs.
