Levenhuk C800 NG is a high-quality, modern camera designed to fit different types of microscopes. It may be used with biological, metallurgical, and stereo microscopes of any brand. This 8-Mpx camera allows you to capture images of stunning quality in high resolution.
To begin, just attach your new camera to a microscope and connect it to a PC or laptop via a USB cable (included in the kit). That's it; you're ready to work! The camera is capable of transferring the real-time feed to your PC so that you can study specimens on the monitor and capture images and videos while doing so.
The kit includes a CD with special software (Levenhuk ToupView) that allows you to edit previously saved images: zoom them, crop them, change the contrast, and so forth. After you finish, you can save the images in the format you need: *.jpg, *.bmp, *.png, *.tif, *.gif, *.psd, *.ico, etc.
The latest version of Levenhuk ToupView software for Windows (release date: 11/20/2013) supports eight languages: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese,Traditional Chinese, Turkish.
To ensure the best possible performance of your new camera, make sure your computer complies with the system requirements specified by the manufacturer. Compatible OS include Mac OS 10.6–10.10, Linux 2.6*, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7/8/10. A USB 2.0 port is required to establish a connection.

* Levenhuk Image Editor for Linux was compiled on Ubuntu 10.04 with kernel 2.6.32-50-generic-pae. If Image Editor still cannot run on your platform or the characters are garbled, contact us and provide your platform info and kernel version.

1.67x1.67 is the size of one pixel of produced image, it has nothing to do with the size of observed object. This characteristic gives you an idea of image quality.
What's a dynamic range? How does it affect image quality? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dynamic range of the camera is the ratio of the brightest fragment of the image to the darkest one of the same image within a single frame. This ratio is also called the maximum image contrast. Video cameras with a wide dynamic range are designed to provide high-quality images under backlight conditions when the frame has both very bright and very dark areas and details. In this case, the brightest areas aren't saturated and dark ones don't appear too dark. more
