Can the silver barrel be removed from the black barrel. and if so what is the connection between the two? Screw threads, M/F, dimensions. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Dear Don, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products. The silver barrel cannot be removed. This product is currently out of stock. Is there any additional information you might need?
Good day! I wanna know if I understand this correctly: this eyepiece is installed instead of the erecting prism before the regular eyepiece and multiplies magnification by 1.5, right? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Yes, you're totally right.
"The Levenhuk 1.5x Erecting Eyepiece can only work with a telescope and will not work with a microscope..." Is the reason why this Erecting Eyepiece will not work with a microscope one of fit? It will not fit to a 23mm microscope tube? Or is it the Optics cant work together? If it is only a matter of fit then I can make an adapter in my shop. Levenhuk Customer Service:
Hey Dave, Yes, it simply will not fit. There is no way to tell anything for sure with regards to the optics because we cannot fit this eyepiece to any microscope.
Will this Erecting Eyepiece device work in a microscope? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Hi Dave, Thanks for your query. The Levenhuk 1.5x Erecting Eyepiece can only work with a telescope and will not work with a microscope. The only microscope eyepiece that we carry is a Levenhuk 20x Eyepiece which can be found here at https://www.levenhuk.com/products/eyepiece-levenhuk-20x/ Is there any additional information you might need?
And what's the difference from an erecting prism, except for the price and 45 degree angle? Does the prism provide the images of a higher quality? Levenhuk Customer Service:
Yes, that's right. The quality of the provided images is higher when using the prism.
