This model deserved to be one of the best LEVENHUK microscopes. Its superb results are provided by its achromatic objectives of new design. They use compound lenses consisting of concave and convex lenses glued together with special glue. Lenses are made of optical glass with different dispersion.
The binocular medical microscope LEVENHUK 740 is designed for clinical laboratory diagnostics and morphology when analyzing objects by transmitted light with illumination using the light field method.
It is also equipped with halogen illumination with adjustable field diaphragm, high-quality achromatic objectives and Abbe condenser. Mechanical stage had bi-coordinate adjustment. Two-speed focusing mechanism is extremely convenient at magnifications over 1000x. It features two coaxial handles and the possibility of adjusting the illumination of the field of view.
Observations using the bright field method (and with additional equipment, using the phase contrast and dark field methods) provide possibilities of full clinical diagnostics.
